Pam Carter's Corner
From the Board
11/15 Thanks from Pam C.
Just a few notes to express how proud I was of Pam in Atlantic City. She
represented out state well. Pam was utstanding in all phases of competition
and we could not ask for a better representative! Her song was fabulous. She
was beautiful and carried herself very well. I was excited to know we could be
presented by someone so special. I want to thank Pam for all the hours of
preparation work, speaking exercising, and worst of all shopping time she had
to put in this summer. I am lucky to have worked with so many special young
women and thank her for many special memories.
I also want to say a special thank you to Floreida Harrell. No one really knows
the amount of work this lady does for Miss Georgia each year. The many hours
of ironing makes her tops on my list. Miss Georgia is lucky to have a person who
is so committed to her and who is willing to give so much to the MGP program.
Thanks to all of those people who helped us this summer. There are so many,
it is hard to name (but I will try). Pat & Joe, Floreida & Albert, Jim & Judy, Marion T.,
W.C. & Faye, Vivian, Tate, The Jones' Family, the Atlanta Group-Mark, Amy, Greg,
Kristine, Jerry A.
Special thanks to the Miss Georgia Board-Oz, Susan, Pat, Billy, Phyllis, Wendy, and
all the others who helped. Thank you to Diane for stepping in and working with talent
and to Cheer South and Jimbo Davis for helping us.. Thank you Art Johnson in Albany
for a great photo. Like I said, there are so many as soon as I sent this I know I will think
of some who gave so much and I let it slip by.
Thank you to everyone across the state for all you do to help through donations, scholarship work, gifts and hard work. We appreciate you and the support you have
given to Miss Georgia.

if you haven't been to one of her Mock Pageants you have missed an excellent
experience. I hope each of you will be at the next one. We plan to make the annual
"Franchise Forum" meeting a yearly event in the fall with the "Contestant Forum"
in the spring. The sessions were constructive and a great time for sharing. I am
glad we took the time to be together and share out ideas, thoughts and concerns!
